KHOU Wins Investigative Journalism's "Triple Crown" With Peabody Award
KHOU-TV has won a 2009 George Foster Peabody Award for its investigative one-hour special "Under Fire: Discrimination and Corruption in the Texas National Guard." This latest national award gives Channel 11's investigative team, the 11 News Defenders, what is widely-regarded to be a "clean-sweep" for any broadcast investigative unit.

1-22-2010 - Two Belo Corp. television stations were honored with 2010 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Silver Baton Awards for excellence in broadcast journalism. KHOU-TV in Houston and WWL-TV in New Orleans were two of only 14 winners chosen to receive this award which is one of the most prestigious in broadcast journalism.
